Warwick Co., IN (WFIE) — The Indiana Department of Transportation stated that they have planned to install traffic lights at the intersection of State Road 66 and Grimm Road in Warwick County.
As stated in a press release, starting from about May 21, work teams will begin setting up traffic lights at the crossing point where State Road 66 meets Grimm Road close to Newburgh.
The traffic signals will be placed atop previously mounted infrastructure at this junction.
Authorities state that after installation, the new signal will initially display a flashing yellow light for three days along State Road 66 before switching to a red flash on Grimm Road.
Following this period, the intersection will operate in a normal green, yellow and red light operation.
A temporary signal was installed during installation of a
displaced left turn
intersection at State Road 66 and Epworth Road.
INDOT representatives state that the signal was put in place to enhance safety and mobility because of the significant construction activity in the area.
After finishing the implementation of the displaced left turn intersection, the temporary traffic lights were taken down.
