Skoda is marking European Diversity Month by unveiling a special edition of the Elroq electric SUV.
The Elroq Respectline has been developed to demonstrate the Czech company’s dedication to diversity, equity, justice, and inclusiveness.
The outside of the vehicle sports a distinctive rainbow-colored paintjob, and the front LED lightbar displays a multicolored rainbow effect, both intended to represent the LGBTQ+ community.
Inside, recycled materials can be found everywhere, and the rainbow motif extends to the dashboard, door panels, and is even stitched into the seats.
Maren Graf, who serves as a board member for personnel and organizational development at Škoda Auto, stated: “Promoting diversity, equity, inclusivity, and mutual respect forms the bedrock of Škoda’s company ethos. The introduction of the new ElroQ RespectLine marks the launch of a Škoda representative that personifies these principles. At Škoda Auto, we aspire to set an example by prioritizing employee welfare and cultivating a secure, welcoming, and equitable work environment for everyone.”
He stated, “We take pride in our dedication to advancing human rights and fostering mutual respect, and we think that Elroq Respectline will enable us to uphold these principles more extensively.”
The vehicle will debut publicly for the first time later this week in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic, and Hamburg, Germany.
The Elroq Respectline is merely a singular special edition, whereas the regular model is currently available for purchase starting at £31,510.
